KROMAN ÇELIK SANAYII A.. (TURKEY) TO INSTALL THE MODULE TECHNOLOGY.
Kroman Çelik Sanayii A., located in Gebze (Turkey) has awarded the contract for the installation of the MODULE TECHNOLOGY fix injection system in their new 150ton EAF to MORE srl (Gemona del Friuli-Italy).This highly innovative technology optimises oxygen and carbon injection in the EAF by side wall injectors, adding exothermic energy over and above the electrical arc energy. The MODULE TECHNOLOGY allows to optimise the metallurgical process, increase productivity and maximise the EAF efficiency. The chemical energy package includes the supply of five OXYGENJET combined burners/supersonic-oxygen injectors and three CARBONJET combined burners/carbon injectors in the EAF shell, oxygen and natural gas valves stands, three MOCA-carbon dispensers, electrical and automation system with Human Machine Interface. Moreover, the furnace will be equipped with the CATFIS automatic temperature/sampling manipulator, operated through the slag door. The system will improve operator's safety, eliminate manual operation in front of the slag door, reduce transformation costs due to process optimization and total reliability of the measurements.
