CONCEPT
Based on the slag chemical analysis and the target of slag basicity and % FeO, MORE
AUTOSLAG recommends the right quantity of flux that should be added to the current melting
process in order to keep the slag within thefollowing:

  • B3 basicity
  • FeO e MnO content
  • MgO saturation


SLAG FOAMING PRINCIPLES
In modern steelmaking practice, it is importantto maintain good foaming of the slag throughout
